Stay up to date with the latest trends in the journal market. Analyze successful journal designs and identify what makes them stand out. This research will help you gather inspiration and incorporate innovative elements into your own designs. Check out the bestseller on Amazon for clues. Don't just look at the structure and layout of the journal; look at the blurb, keywords and reviews as well.

Step 3: Determine the Purpose and Theme

Decide on the purpose and theme of your journal. Is it a daily planner, a gratitude journal, or a creative outlet?
